CLAUDIA CEWILLE

I’m Claudia Cewille, 57 years old, a painter and varnisher, art therapist.

I have always been able to live out my creativity in social work as well. I have been working as a freelance artist for many years. I like to work interdisciplinary with musicians and authors.

My commitment is often to social space-oriented and intercultural topics and projects.

My content relates to social and global political events and developments. Nature and the environment are particularly important to me here.

Themes such as justice, peace and spirituality find expression in my art. In particular, the events of the past three years, the pandemic, war in Ukraine and in many countries around the world, especially the increasing threats to particularly disadvantaged regions due to climate change, have strengthened and influenced my artistic work.

I use different methods and techniques, often working with recycled materials. Collages, photography, drawing and painting are among the preferred forms of expression. My special passion is an art form, the dance of death.
